Sovereign AI Brain 7.0.5

The Connect button now does what it says

Three faults that stood between two Brains and a working connection. Connect and Test could never succeed, the away-from-home service could restart itself every three seconds forever, and a fault on your own machine was blamed on your network.

Connect and Test now succeed

Connect and Test now succeed

Pressing Connect on a collaboration could never work, however many times the two of you tried, because two parts of the Brain were asking for a piece of the program that was never included in it. That piece is included now, so a collaboration can be established and tested.

It no longer restarts itself every three seconds

It no longer restarts itself every three seconds

The service your Brain uses away from home could get stuck in a restart loop after an update, retrying every three seconds and never arriving. It now clears the way for itself before it starts, and if it genuinely cannot start it stops and says so rather than looping — so a service that looks busy is no longer a service that is failing quietly.

It stops sending you after the wrong problem

It stops sending you after the wrong problem

When something goes wrong, the Brain now names what actually failed. It used to suggest checking the network when the problem was on your own machine, which sent people looking in the wrong place.

Updating

How to update

One download, one install. No terminal.

  1. 1Sign in and open Account → Get Brain. Your download sits at the top of the page.
  2. 2Double-click the downloaded file and choose Install. Fedora may ask for your password — that prompt is your computer, not us.
  3. 3Reopen Sovereign AI Brain. It sets its own services up and starts them. Nothing else to run.
  4. 4Check the download first if you like: the sha256 above is the exact file we published.

Signed with Centurion’s release key. No reboot is needed — reopening the Brain is enough. Your data, your Soul and your sessions are untouched by this update.

Verification

Before you install

Fedora’s Software app labels anything it does not recognise as Provided by a third party. That is a statement about provenance, not about Centurion — every vendor package installed this way is labelled the same. Our builds are signed with Centurion’s release key, and the values below let you check that what arrived is what we published.
